Religion

Early years, Mongolian had been close relation with the nature and who woprship the sun, heaven and the moon. As such, the religion known as Shamanism was the core religion among Mongolia. At the period of Chingiss Khan, different religions allowed by missionaries such Christianity, Taoist, Confusion, Buddhism and Shanamism. Since Chingiss Khan's Death, The shamanism eliminated by its harsh acts of killing servants and slaves after death of their masters. They believed that killing servants and slave with master who would live together in next life. Yellow Buddhism introduced during the 14th and 15th century by third dalai lama Sodnomjamts. Besides, there were inner wars and curses occuring lords. And country started dividing into several parts. In order to unite and bring peace to Mongolia, there needed a monotheistic religion. It was Yellow Buddhism. All missionaries tried to spread throughout Mongoloa as speed.  

 

We welcome you to our widely celebrated festival in summer time. The Naadam held in 11 th of July. And There is opening ceremony amazingly held in the National Stadium where you can explore Mongolian traditional dance, songs and history at same time with short length in aday.
